Fix for sound issue in Ubuntu 9.04 HP Pavilion dv4000
The sound was giving error on my HP dv4000 running Ubuntu 9.04.
Here is the listing of my hardware modules:
Adding following at the end of /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf

Reboot.

if
ac97_quirk=1
doesn't work, try 0,2,3 or 4 as value.Reboot.
